Our

School

Since 1977, Montessori Preparatory School has been offering the highest-quality education to children in our community. Through the years we have stayed committed to providing your child with a safe, loving, and caring environment that meets their unique needs.  Each member of our staff holds a bachelor's or master's degree. We also have many dedicated staff members who have taught at our school for more than 20 years. We provide your child with the attention, experience, patience, and care that they deserve.

Our
Belief

Central to the Montessori Method, (a unique method that teaches your child to be self-motivated and self-reliant, and instills a basic approach to learning that is even more important than the skills created) is the belief that habits and attitudes are best formed during the first 6 years of your child's life when they develop an awareness and confidence that lasts a lifetime. We follow the belief of Dr. Montessori who understood that that education is really a preparation for life and not simply a mastering of intellectual skills.

Our
Mission

The goals for our preparatory school are: to teach each child to develop an ability to solve problems using an organized approach, to use freedom wisely, to respect others, and above all, to take joy in learning.

I would not have my child in any other school. Mrs Jennings has over 30 years experience with the Montessori method and all of the teachers are so kind and dedicated to the children. This school has my highest recommendation.

Highly recommended pre-school! This school provides a warm environment for learning and includes instruction in Spanish and Chinese and Zumba and Yoga classes. Violin classes can be added on as well. My son just completed his third year there and my daughter is entering her third year. We have been very happy! It is a traditional Montessori, putting emphasis on child-driven learning, so this is not the kind of school where all the kids come home with identical dittos and art projects each day. All ages are mixed so if you have an advanced, talkative two or three year old, you can rest assured they will not be siloed away from other talkers in a "2 year old" class. Learning is tailored to the student. The school holds fun holiday and cultural events (Christmas show and End of year show featuring multi-lingual songs and dancing and costumes; Leprechaun visit and traditional Irish foods on St Paddy's Day; Chinese New Year; Thanksgiving feast). School is 9-12 Mon thru Friday, with extended day until 1pm available Monday - Thursday.

Wonderful and nurturing teachers with small class size. My children loved going to school there.
